Thinking– About which patio stone would work best for us.  It will be a while before a new patio is at the top of our list, but a girl can dream.

Wishing– I would win this!

Hoping– To get the second coat of paint up in our dining room today.

Loving– This home featured on Architectural Digest, especially the master suite!

Wanting– To see more aerial views after this article.

Happy Sunday, folks! How’s your weekend going?

Today, we’re finally painting the dining room!  If you follow on Instagram, you may have seen the samples we put up at 11 pm last night.  After a ton of discussion this morning, we’ve decided on a color.  Can you guess which one we chose?

Currently:

Writing– A thank you note.

Listening– To these cocktail party hostess tips the next first time we have a gathering at the house.

Thinking– How much I love the colors in the living room of this Boston townhouse.  The green and navy are just perfect!

Wishing– We had the budget to go ahead and add built ins to our home office.  I love the look of this dark den with built ins and pops of color!

Hoping– To make a chart like this soon.  In the meantime, you can see most of our paint colors here.

Loving– This Pinterest account.

PS- Totally random, but do you remember when I was trying to decide on hardware for our bathroom vanity? Well I found the perfect ones. Now, I must win the lottery, since what I need would cost me roughly $1,000.  Le sigh.

Writing– A summer bucket list for our house.  Come back tomorrow and check it out!

ThinkingThis is even cooler than a treehouse.

Hoping– I get a chance to use every single one of these new emojis.  I mean, how perfect would a Mantelpiece Clock or Black Down Pointing Backhand Index be in certain situations?!  Still waiting on a unicorn (because they are magic).

Wearing– Paint clothes…again.  The front screen door is getting painted today!

Loving– 500 years of women ignoring men in art.  Hilarious!

Wanting– To tackle a few DIY projects before we get too far into summer, but where do I start?  I’m like a kid with ADD looking at all of these projects…they all look so fun!

Needing– To snap some pictures of my vintage finds lately…look for them here or here soon!

Feeling– Out of breath after laughing so hard at this article on baby names.  To each his own, I guess. (I apologize in advance if this offends anyone…it was just too good not to share.)

Clicking–  These bathroom makeovers for every budget.  This one and this one are my favorites.

Happy Father’s Day! I’m lucky to have a dad who loves me, supports me, is my biggest fan, is a fantastic friend, and who gives the best advice.  But what I love most about my dad?  He’s FUN! I’m never around my dad without laughing, and as soon as something funny happens, he’s the first one I want to tell.  He’s taught me that you can be a grown up and a kid at the same time (what with all his toys and hobbies).  Happy Father’s Day, Dad! I love you!

I love my dad too much to publicly embarrass him on my blog, so I’ll leave you with this story instead. Do you have any embarrassing dad stories?

Happy Sunday, friends!

Currently:

Reading– These tips for haggling like a pro. I’m fairly introverted, but I actually LOVE to haggle!  Nothing feels better than walking away from a purchase feeling like you got a good deal. For me, haggling is fun!

Listening– To my favorite, Bruce Springsteen, because apparently it would cost a million dollars to actually have him play for me.

Thinking– About how much I love this post that takes a peek into a top designer’s home!  It’s seriously fabulous.

Hoping– To try this cocktail very soon. It’s got 3 things I really love…grapefruit, spice, and tequila! (I also wouldn’t mind setting up one of these this summer!)

Loving– This cat rescue makeover by the oh-so-talented Emily Henderson. I’m not a cat person at all, but who wouldn’t love this sweet makeover?!

Wanting– This adorable *free* “Summer Essentials” watercolor printable.  (Also available: Autumn Essentials, Winter Essentials, and Spring Essentials.)

NeedingThis.

Feeling– A little unsure about the new Pippit app.  I joined last week to see what all the hype was about, and I’m still very much on the fence.  As so many others have said, I can’t decide if it’s a helpful tool, or if it’s just one more thing to try to keep up with.  What are your thoughts? Have you tried it?

Happy Sunday!  It seems like there’s been a lot of 30s lately…Charles turned 30 on the 30th and now it’s the 30th Sunday Currently.  I digress.

Currently:

ReadingNorth Carolina Slave Narratives.  This book is fascinating and eye opening.  My cousin-in-law read it and was telling me about it, so he lent it to me about a week ago and I’m almost finished (which is saying something because I am NOT a big reader).  I would definitely recommend it.

Listening– To a little Mariah after checking out this interesting chart of vocal ranges of famous artists.

Thinking– How amazing these celebrity vacation homes are!

Wishing– I could take this online class.

Hoping– To make it to the beach more this summer than last summer…and hopefully stopping at some of these tasty places along the way!

Wearing– My new Revlon tinted moisturizer. This stuff is perfect for summer!

Loving– These life lessons from the dog.  So simple.

WantingS’mores!! The perfect summer treat!

Needing– Y’all to check out this fabulous Instagram account: @chateaugudanes. This family is restoring an 18th century chateau in the south of France and it is just incredible!

Feeling– Much better since I’ve been eating “clean” for the past week.  (If I can just ignore my serious craving for the s’mores above!)  I can already tell my body is thanking me.  I’ve added some yummy clean eating recipes and information here if you’re interested.

Clicking– These staycation inspirations.  With summer on the horizon, it’s tempting to want to travel constantly.  But we are planning to stay in town and work on house projects as much as possible this summer.  These are some good tips for making your “staycation” worthwhile.
