Today is the day! I’m putting my word of the year to the test and speaking at the Downtown Raleigh Home Show. Wish me luck! I’ll be there tonight at 6 pm and tomorrow night at 7 pm. If you’re in the area, come check it out!

Do you ever fall in love with a trend and then get bummed out when you realize that the trend just doesn’t fit your house, or your style? That’s kind of what happened to me when I started seeing all of these gorgeous, black steel windows and doors all over Pinterest.
Hi 702 Park Project readers! I’m Katie from lifestyle blog, Twin Stripe and I’m thrilled to be sharing a few of my favorite spring accessories with all of you!
Right around this time every year, I start to grow sick of winter and set my sights toward spring. I might switch out some artwork or pick up a new plant to breathe some new life into my home. If you are looking to add some spring to your home, I’ve rounded up some lovely home accessories in every price range!
It’s been a while since my last Thrifting Lately post, mainly because I haven’t been scouring my favorite shops as often. After a very big Christmas, we put ourselves on a spending freeze, so unfortunately it’s been all window shopping for this girl! I have picked up a few small things for the Etsy shop, but nothing for myself.
But window shopping can still scratch the itch. Like this 5 foot tall brass elephant that I saw in the window of a closed shop. I was dying!
A few weeks ago, I hosted a girls’ night painting party with Zoe’s Kitchen and Wine & Design. It was so fun! Zoe’s has been one of my favorite restaurants ever since we lived in Raleigh almost 6 years ago. The food is always fresh, and the light Mediterranean cuisine is different than so many of the options we have. Plus, Zoe’s let’s you eat guilt-free while still being satisfied.
Take a look at some shots from the party!
Happy Friday, friends! As I said earlier this week, I’m not big on Valentine’s Day. There’s usually a lot of build up for no real reason. I remember in college, we always went out to a nice, expensive dinner and got each other really thoughtful gifts. Now, there’s nothing we’d like more than to order a pizza, drink some wine, and watch a movie. Funny how your idea of date night changes over the years, huh?
Now we usually set a price limit for most gifts, and it’s usually pretty low for V Day. I suggested we skip the gifts this year, but Charles didn’t like that, so we have a $10 limit (Oh the joys of home ownership and lots of bills!). This could get interesting.
Anyway, today I wanted to share 3 of the best Valentine’s Day gifts I’ve ever received.
