Do you ever fall in love with a trend and then get bummed out when you realize that the trend just doesn’t fit your house, or your style? That’s kind of what happened to me when I started seeing all of these gorgeous, black steel windows and doors all over Pinterest.
But then I thought, why doesn’t that fit my house? Couldn’t our eventual kitchen renovation include some statement windows? Or wouldn’t a steel door work for this shower? What if we incorporated this sophisticated trend into our garage and patio plans?
I don’t know that any of those things will happen, but I just wanted to share that thought with you. Who says a trend can’t fit in with what you already have going on? If you love it, in the famous words of Tim Gunn, make it work.
Anyway, here are just a few of my favorites I’ve seen lately. As you can see, the trend works in both modern and traditional settings.
