One Room Challenge Week 2 – Please Help Our Community!

Today is supposed to be when I share Week 2 of the One Room Challenge, but some things deserve more attention. We were hit pretty hard by Hurricane Matthew, and the record-breaking flooding that came after has completely devastated the area. Charles and I have been so lucky to not have any damage, but many others were not so fortunate.

Thousands of people have been displaced, and countless homes and businesses are destroyed. But the way that this community has rallied around each other and poured their time, energy, and money into helping has been incredibly moving. I’m so proud to be a part of it.

If you would be willing to donate to help the relief efforts in Wayne County, you can do so here. You can also text UWHELPSNC to 41444 or mail a check to United Way of Wayne County, PO Box 73, Goldsboro, NC 27533. Thank you in advance for your support….every little bit helps!!

  1. Great post Say. Times like these can bring out so much good in communities. I am glad you and CP are a part of the rebuilding process!

  2. Last Friday my daughter-in-law and I got together several bags of clothing, shoes, toiletries, soap, toothpaste and brushes, towels, sheets etc and gave them to a volunteer to take down your way.
We are from Clayton and were very happy to help…we wish we had more items…I literally went into my closet and that of my hubby and found shirts, slacks, jeans, shoes etc. that we were still wearing but packed them in bags and gave them to the volunteers. It was a honor to help! God Bless
