I am thrilled to be a part of a pretty fabulous series hosted by Lauren Nicole Designs called Seasonal ‘Scapes Blog Challenge. Lauren has rounded up some pretty fantastic bloggers to share glimpses into their seasonal homes, whether it’s a table ‘scape, mantel ‘scape, coffee table ‘scape, or vanity ‘scape.

I have a confession to make. As much as I love fall, it’s been hard for me to get into it this year. It’s just been so hot. Last week it was still 85 degrees and super humid here, so pumpkins and mums just haven’t felt natural. Instead, I poured my seasonal decorating energy into making our dining room an ultra chic black and gold Halloween space!

Don’t worry…I’ll get around to decorating for fall. The hurricane brought much cooler weather and yesterday it finally felt like fall around here. But right now I’m loving our dining room! Take a look!

A few sources…

The seasonal items at Michael’s are pretty hard to beat. Especially when they’re 60% off! I snagged most of my items last year…the skull plates, ribbon, and pumpkins. The feather wreath and creepy hand tongs are from Target last year, and the spooky plate is from Hobby Lobby last year. The only new thing I bought was the candelabra…from Michael’s. Duh.

The “runner” is actually sheer ribbon that I doubled over. The gold flatware is from Target and it’s my favorite.

Are you ready for fall? I’m a little behind in getting the house ready for fall, but I think this adorable squirrel could give the push I need. PS – Thanks for all the sweet messages and emails to check on us after Hurricane Matthew. Luckily, we made it through with no damage and without losing power, but most of our town is dark and under water. We are so lucky! I shared some photos of the damage around time on my Instagram story yesterday.
