A good friend of mine recently bought a house that had sconces in almost every room. I’ve never thought too much about sconces, mainly because wiring the electrical through our plaster walls could cause a few problems. But now I can’t get them out of my head! I’d love to add a couple above our buffet in our dining room, and maybe in our master bedroom too.

Sconces, as opposed to lamps, free up space on the table, buffet, or nightstand below, and seem to add a finished look to a room. One really awesome thing about sconces is they can be made to fit just about any space. Light or dark, elegant or casual, modern or traditional, glam or rustic. There’s something for everyone!
