Happy birthday to me! Today I’m 28, and for the first time in a long time, I feel settled. That seems kind of crazy since I just quit my very stable job to go into business for myself, but I am enjoying this stage of my life more than any other I’ve been through.

So today I’m taking a break and just rambling for a bit….

My dear friend, Elizabeth, and I are heading to Raleigh this morning for a calligraphy class with Maghon of All She Wrote Notes. I’ve followed Maghon on Instagram for a long time, so when Elizabeth asked if I wanted to take her class on my birthday, I was all about it!

Nordstrom is having their big fall sale, and I’m tempted to do a little birthday shopping. I’m obsessed with ponchos lately, and I especially love this one, this one, and this one. Oh, and these booties too. And these. And just about everything else.

I added these to my Christmas wish list. Don’t they look so cozy?!

I got a new phone a couple weeks ago…the iPhone 6s (in gold, of course). I love it! I had the 5s before, but there really is a pretty huge difference, especially in the photo capabilities. Definitely worth the upgrade!
