A Picture Perfect 19th Century Southern Home

Y’all. This New Orleans house. I can’t get over it.

The home belongs to Jane Scott Hodges, founder of Leontine Linens. This Greek Revival was built in 1869 and, in my opinion, is decorated perfectly. The way that traditional and modern are pulled together in this house, and the use of bright colors that don’t seem overwhelming is just flawless. It’s everything I hope for in my own home! Let’s have a look!

  1. I just cannot pick a favorite room. I love how saturated the colors are. That seems so unique compared to most homes that are filled with washed out neutrals. I also love how the design gives the impression that she uses the things she loves, whether the “match” or not. Boldness!

  2. I love the bold choice of wall colors and coverings. I’m sure the purple in the dining room made you smile a little. The home just feels so comfortable and lived in not like a museum or something set up for touring like so many of the historical homes featured in articles. Thanks for sharing this amazing home with us.
