Hello 702 Park Project readers!  I’m Molly of Dreams in HD, and I’m extremely honored to be posting on Sarah’s lovely blog today.  Sarah and I share similar passions for old homes and interior design, so today I wanted to share with you some of my favorite rooms inspired by my favorite hotel – The Greenbrier Resort.  My mom and I will be visiting The Greenbrier this weekend for Mother’s Day, and I am thrilled to be able to spend four days in the beautiful and historic hotel {it was built in 1778!}

The Greenbrier was decorated by famed interior designer Dorothy Draper and remains one of her finest works.  Inspired by the resort’s bold prints, vibrant colors, and southern charm, I have pulled together some of my favorite rooms that have a slightly more subdued take on Draper’s “modern baroque style” {read: arched doorways, tufted furniture, unique wallpapers, and bright color palettes}.  Personally my favorite room is the last…how gorgeous is that orchid velvet sofa?!

If you’d like to see photos from our trip, feel free to visit my blog, Dreams in HD.  You can also connect with me on Bloglovin’Instagram, FacebookTwitter, and Pinterest.  A very big thank you to Sarah for having me guest post today!

  1. Absolutely breathtaking. I can’t stop looking at the pictures – over and over and over. Thanks for sharing. Now I want to trash all my furniture and start from scratch. You’ve awakened my inner profligate!
