An Organized Cleaning Closet + My #1 Cleaning Secret

When it comes to cleaning, I like to stay organized. We originally kept all of our cleaning supplies in the laundry room, but there just wasn’t enough room for everything. So we moved to the next best place.

Our den bathroom. When we started this project, this bathroom was in pretty bad 1970’s shape. Green tub, green sink, floral wallpaper, and really bad lighting. When we decided to rip out the vanity and put in a pedestal sink, we had custom cabinetry built to frame the sink. But as a downstairs guest bathroom that rarely gets used, we didn’t have too much to fill the cabinets.

Ahoy, It’s A Boy! A Nautical Baby Shower

On Saturday, four friends and I threw a nautical baby shower for our sweet friend Ali. She’s having a boy (named Rory!) at the end of August, and I for one can’t wait to meet him!

Since Ali is going with a nautical theme for Rory’s nursery, we decided to follow suit and throw an “Ahoy, It’s a Boy!” shower. Mary designed these adorable invitations, and things just kind of went from there.

Master Bedroom Reveal

Happy Monday, friends! A few weeks ago, I shared the first glimpse into our newly-renovated master bedroom over on Glamista Home. But first, in case you are new here, let me tell you a little bit about our house…

Over two years ago, my husband, Charles, and I decided to take a leap and buy a house in his hometown in NC out of foreclosure. But it wasn’t just any house. We bought the house that Charles’ grandparents once owned. Since his grandmother’s passing ten years prior, the house was sold and fell into serious disrepair. When the bank foreclosed, we decided to buy it and fully restore it. You can learn more about our story here!
