Buffet Styling

About 2 months ago, I found the perfect vintage buffet at our local Habitat for Humanity Restore. I’ve been wanting a buffet for some time now…the sideboard we have that matches our dining room table and chairs is beautiful, but just a little small for the large wall in our dining room. This buffet was a great price at $350, but just more than we needed to spend on something we really didn’t need. (By the way, being a responsible adult sucks.)

I avoided the Restore for several weeks, trying to not tempt myself. When I finally returned a couple of weeks ago, the buffet had been marked down to $250. I decided that it was a crime to not snag it at this price.

I’ve been thinking about how I want to style the buffet once we hang the mirror. The mirror was another great find…it’s a very heavy gilded antique mirror that I found at a consignment store for $43.

If  you’ve seen my Etsy shop, you know I love some blue and white. I think a few bright blue and white ginger jars would really pop against the purple walls, along with some snazzy brass wheat sconces. Throw in a Stark antelope rug (I wish!!!), and we’re all set.

What do you think? How do you style your buffet?
