Lately I’ve been strangely drawn to rooms with twin beds. They used to give me I Love Lucy flashbacks, but now I can kind of see the merit in them. I wouldn’t want to sleep alone in a twin bed every night, but every now and then, it might be nice to get a little uninterrupted sleep.

Historic Southern Homes: Monticello
Today’s Historic Southern Home is a little more famous than many I’ve shared. Monticello, located just outside Charlottesville, VA, was home to President Thomas Jefferson. The plantation sits in the Southwest Mountains just below the Rivanna Gap, and originally spanned over 5,000 acres. The Neoclassical-Palladian house includes 43 rooms and an octagonal dome above the west front of the building.
This Week’s Links
Thanks for hanging out while the content has been kind of light the past couple of weeks. I’m still settling into my new schedule, but so far so good. I haven’t had that “OMG what did I just do?!?” moment, but I have had that “OMG this is my life and I get to do what I love for a living!!” moment. I don’t hate it. :)
Now that I can work from anywhere, I think I need another visit to London.
Finally, a face palm emoji. And fingers crossed. And champagne clink.
If you love pineapples, you’ll want to check these out.

702 Archives: Custom DIY Frame For Under $10
If you follow me at all, then you know I love the South! So you can imagine my excitement when I discovered Old Try, a southern husband-wife team living in Boston, but creating unique pieces that remind them of home in the South.
One of my favorite prints at Old Try is the Five String banjo. I love the simplistic yet modern style. I thought about having this print framed, but like so many prints, framing was much more expensive than the print itself cost.
So what do you do when you don’t want to pay a ton for custom framing? You DIY, of course! For under $10, I was able to create a fun and different custom frame for this beautiful piece of southern art.
A Rustic Work Space with GoHaus Flooring
As many of you know by now, today is my last day at my current job. I’m taking a leap into self-employment and am super excited!
For now, I’ll be working from home full time. I’m happier than I can say that I will be able to have the flexibility and comforts of working from home, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a tad apprehensive about staying motivated and on task all day every day.
