It’s that time of year again! Halloween is this Saturday…are you ready?! I thought I’d bring back this post from a couple of years ago. Enjoy!
——————–
Let’s just get this out there: I love Halloween! I’m crazy about scary movies (even when I know I won’t sleep for a week!), and I love hearing all of the ghost stories and scary tales that always seem to pick up around this time of year.
In a lot of ways, Charles and I have followed in his parents’ footsteps. Back before Charles was even born, my in-laws bought a severely neglected historic house (just a few blocks from ours) and spent about 2 years restoring it. It’s the only home that Charles has ever known, and it’s beautiful inside and out.
My mother-in-law, Rhonda, has great taste, and the house is always decorated for each and every holiday and season. One of my favorite rooms in this 1922 house is the dining room…it’s right off the foyer, with double doors, built in china cabinets, and a stunning chandelier. But most of all, this room is an example of patterned wallpaper done right!
I have a magazine obsession. It’s actually kind of a problem. Over the course of this year, though, I’ve cut my subscriptions down from 10 to 4. That’s major progress! (Although, it’s kind of cheating because my mother-in-law and I swap all of our magazines regularly.) How many subscriptions do you have?
