I’m kicking off this week with a treat for you! I recently discovered Brooke Wagner Design when I was pulling this post together, and I fell in love with her sophisticated yet comfortable designs. Brooke started her own firm in 2003 and has been creating beautiful custom residences ever since.
Although Brooke Wagner Design is located in Corona del Mar, CA, Brooke and her team offer high end design services to client across the country. They offer space planning, fabric and furniture selection, custom furniture fabrication, window treatments, wall coverings, color specification, architectural detailing, and more!
When and why did you decide to become a designer?
I’ve wanted to be a designer since I was a kid and my parents were doing a house and I would be to stay home from school to meet with the designer.
What has been your greatest challenge as a designer?
All the endless logistics!
How would you characterize your style?
Transitional. Clean. Evolving.
Does your personal home fit your design style?
We are at the beginning phases of construction with building our own home.
What was the focus of your first paid design project?
It was a beautiful house on the bay. Lots of fun fabrics and pattern on pattern!
Where do you find your inspiration?
Everywhere! The beautiful textiles sent to us, travels, other designers, etc.
What is the best advice you’ve received?
It’s not brain surgery…nothing is really that urgent.
What is your go-to hostess gift?
A Diptyque or scented candle and vintage inspired matches.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
The Maldives!
What is your favorite design era and why?
Now! Anything and everything goes.
What do you have coming up next?
Lots of great projects from Malibu to New Hampshire.
